         Jim Brown, President

We could go on and on naming all of Jim's accomplishments and credentials, but what sets him apart from all other strength coaches is that his knowledge in strength sports exceeds all others in Northeastern Pennsylvania. With over 30 years in the health & fitness industry, Jim has proven time and time again that his methodolgies in strength training work. As others age and have to give up on their competitve edge, Jim keeps getting better and STRONGER.  If you want to add size and strength as part of your arsenal, he is the man to get you there.

 

As Head Coach and leader of the Brown's Gym Powerlifting Club, he has athletes competing at the "grass roots" level as well as National & World Champion competitors.  He pours his heart and soul into this club and is always willing to help anyone that is willing to learn.  

 

He has had the honor to be the Head Coach for the National Masters Bench Press Team and the North American Open & Masters National Powerlifting Teams,  Powerlifting Senior International Coach, North American National Team Coach (Open & Masters) and World Bench Press National Team Coach (Masters)

          Janel Brown, Vice-President

 

 

Janel actually started in the sport of "Fitness" before the figure division was offered to women that wanted to take their physiques to the next level.  After several injuries sidelined her from taking the stage, she followed her husband's footsteps in the path to Powerlifting.  She is an accomplished athlete in her own right with an IPF Master's World Title, 5 Master's National Titles and 5 North American Open Championships as well as several American Records. 

​

Janel is a Certified Sports Nutritionist. If you are looking for that competitive age, no matter what sport you are competing in or are just looking to drop some lbs. she will help you get there.​

          Brandon Sales, Personal Trainer

 

 

Bachelor’s of Science with a degree in Exercise Science from King’s College, where he was taught Nutrition, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, exercise programming for the Special population, etc. He was involved in the Health and Wellness at King’s College (HAWK) program that offered comprehensive health screenings while providing the students of the sports medicine and exercise science programs to apply what they’ve learned in classes to real life patients. The assessment looked for early signs and risk factors of several chronic diseases and conditions like osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease. Patients are given feedback in the form of exercise and dietary suggestions. Referrals to specialists are suggested when needed.

-1 year internship at Wilkes University as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for all the Division 3 athletes.

-2 years HAWK study program

-CPR/AED first aid certified 

-Member of the American Sports Medicine Society 

-Member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association 

-Currently studying for his CSCS
